can a fella insure his food plots?? lol.
ai'nt never seen hail so destructive. went up to my land today to survey last nite storm damage and just about tear'd-up seeing my favorite annual plot (pumpkins/squash)TOTALLY demolished!! 3 days ago, you would have to search hard to see dirt, now, its all pounded down and all thats showing is dirt:jaw:
i had 88 plants that were doing AWESOME and i've had to HAND BUCKET about 1600 gallons of water to them.
alot of hard work down the drain.
guess its not to late for brassicas/oats/rye:bhod:

Hail is terrible. I've seen what it'll do to 9' tall corn in Iowa one summer. It is definitely enough to make you tear up.
On the bright side at least all the fertilizer is back in the ground now.

You don't think most of it will perk back up? Or is it really trashed/broken?

pumpkins/squash is TOTALLY destroyed. clover looks to be fine.
oats took a beating but i spread more sees into the plots and hopefully it will thicken up.
