we planted round up ready corn and soybeans. Its now time to spray them. I plan on mixing 1 1/2 court of roundup into my 15 gallon sprayer for every acre. My sprayer has 7 nozzles, spanning 140". I have a 2.1 GPM pump. I am wondering what speed I need to go to achieve that?

If you know the size of any of your plots in acres...you can spray one of them and see how much you used (if your tank is marked) and adjust your speed accordingly.

If you can tell me your nozzle spacing and then how many mL in a 15 second catch and I could tell you exact speed.

Make sure not to use the generic 'Round Up' from the store. You will need to buy concentrated glyphosate. The jugs that say 'Round Up' that you can buy from lowes or Home Depot, have another active ingredient that will kill round up ready crops.

Don't get this confused with "generic" glyphosate. Some of the generic versions of glyphosate come with a surfactant and some don't, you'll want to check the label to be sure. The brand we use is Makaze which does have a surfactant in it. Just to make sure that we killed all of the RR beans in our corn plot we added a little Atrazine to the glyphosate to kill everything except the corn.
