I went to my bow shop last week and shot several bows and all of them were great. This was a very tough choice and in the end I finally made up my mind. These are the bows I shot.

Hoyt Carbon Spyder: A great bow felt light in my hands and very quiet with minimal vibration.
Bowtech BX-30: A great bow with little more vibration and a smooth draw.
Mathews No Cam: A great bow with a smooth draw no vibration and quiet.
Mathews Halon: A little heavy when I first picked it up but perfect in every category.

Someone on here said you don't pick the bow it picks you and the Halon was the only bow I wanted to shoot till my arm fell off. From the first arrow I had a grin on my face and I knew that was it.

I just got my Halon recently as well and everytime I shoot it I'm liking it more.

My DW is only about 53 pounds. This bow really has some energy. Can you see guys 15 years ago? I'm at 53 pounds and pushing 260 fps. Guys back then woulda been like WHOA!

I was at my local shop last night and shot the Elite Impulse 31 and the Hoyt Defiant. I really wasn't a fan of the new Hoyt but I really liked the Impulse. I like it a lot better then my bowtech experience now I am just waiting for him to get another Halon and a PSE Decree in stock so I can shoot them before making my decision on what I want.

Thanks guys I'm at a trade show now for work and all I can think about is when I can shoot it next. Brace height is 6. Thanks Sam you made some good point on this bow that made me rethink getting the Z3. I was leaning towards the no cam but didn't like the back wall compared to the Halon. For a bow that's so fast I can't believe how quiet it is.

My mom and I are getting my dad a bow for his 50th bday.. We were thinking about the defiant and the halon.. Think he is going to shoot both tomorrow.. He hasn't purchased a bow since 1992..

Henson I shot the Impulse also and liked the bow also. Wait for your shop to get a Halon in to try it out before you decide I think is a good idea. In my opinion I just noticed something not sure what but liked the Mathews more. All are really nice bows. The Halon is so smooth and wicked fast..
