Been looking into trying out one of these cameras and looked on cabelas today and they seem to be at a pretty good price. What are some of your thoughts on one or both of these cameras? Stealth Cam G42Ng $129.99 http://www.cabelas.com/product/stealth-cam-g42ng-10-mp-trail-camera/1813038.uts Bushnell Trophy Cam HD Aggressor $129.99 http://www.cabelas.com/product/bushnell-174-trophy-cam-hd-aggressor-14mp-trail-camera/2005188.uts
I own both cameras and I feel they are pretty similar when it comes to function and battery life. I personally like the ease of use with the stealth cam, but Bushnell's are not too much different. 2 problems with my bushnell is water gets passed the seal on the access door and I really don't like the way the bushnell hold batteries.
i second that on how the bushnell holds batteries, I dont like it at all. Other than that solid lil cam
I'd go with this cam. Stealth Cam G-30. http://www.cabelas.com/product/hunt...tealth-cam-g30-8-mp-trail-camera/1816964.uts?
I have both and would go with the Stealth Cam. The batteries as others have mentioned are not stored well in Bushnell and have had a few Bushnell HD cams that take a lot of blank pictures. StealthCam mounted right above took zero blank pictures.
Stealth cam. I'm personally a Moultrie fan but I've heard great things about stealth cams and I want to try one.
The G42NG is 10 megapixels and has black flash/no glow. The G30 is 8 megapixels and has infrared flash.
I have 10 G42ng's I've run for about a year. I've had a problem with one of them, it started eating batteries for some reason...like a set per week. I'm guessing the LED's are staying on full time, but dunno. The rest have been flawless and I'd give them my best review between a couple older Bushnells, Moultries, Cuddies, Coverts and Primos.
I have the m-880 & m-990 the only down side is I get a lot of blank pictures so want to see if one of these helps with that
not happy at all with my bushnell. just bought two stealth cams on black friday, so I cannot comment on them yet, but I would avoid the bushnell.
I have a A-5 and I got a lot of random pictures once but I think it's because the wind was really high the weekend it started to take random pictures. Otherwise I've never had a problem with besides it frozen once when the temps were below 0°f but I just took it inside and it worked fine after some new batteries.
its usually windy here in ND haha but they still seem very sensitive i even try to trim tall grass from where the camera is going to be facing but that doesnt seem to help either
I recently picked up a couple Stealth G30's. So far I have been impressed with them for the price. I run bushnells, Reconyx, and moultries. I was impressed enough with the stealths to pick up a GX45NG. I'm hoping the NG night images will be better than my Reconyx HC600 that crapped out on me.
