    Depends on the season
I've always looked forward to going away on hunts, especially for whitetail.

This year its Colorado for elk and back to Illinois for whitetail.

Really excited about Illinois this year and its shaping up to be a great hunt.

    Anyone else roaming the country?

I'll be hunting whitetail as usual but I'm headed to Nebraska in September to hunt mule deer and pronghorn antelope!

If I can just get work caught up enough to leave my guys I'll be heading to Idaho.

From all your posts it appears you are trying to hunt everywhere.

Are you going elk hunting in Idaho?

Doubt I'll be traveling anywhere to hunt this year. Maybe in the years to come I'll be able to go out west to elk hunt.

Totally depends on when I can get away from work. If I can get away by the 16th of September, it will be for archery elk and maybe deer. If I can't get away till after the first week in October, it will be rifle for Mule deer.

Really stinks when you have the most miserable boss in the world.

Seems to happen when you're self employed!

Ok, we might have to work out a trade. I want to hunt out west and you want to hunt midwest whitetails.

I do "work for the man" but now that I have vacation and get paid for it I use it different than I did before. I use to work where we didn't get paid for vacation.

Whitetail in Illinois as usual. Might do a Northern Missouri Whitetail hunt and I have a Greenhead/Canadian hunt booked for Minnesota in Dec.

I don't get paid vacation time and when I'm not there I could be losing money.

The reason that I'm not sure when I'll take off for the west is that I have a job that a client needs to have done and I do not really want to do it. The client asked me to give a $number so I gave a stupid number and they agreed to it. It should be worth $6000 for 6 to 8 days of work for me. I'm finding it hard to walk away from that kind of money especially since we don't have much work ahead for later this fall/winter.

I agree, I couldn't leave that kind of money laying there either.

somewhere north of Chillicothe. A guy I work with has few hundred acre farm and has invited me the last 2 years but what sucks is we work in the same dept and hard for us to get off same time. But this year it might work out. I'm pumped if it does work. He kills some nice bucks up there.

Hopefully a bit of both. I'll hunt local a good bit, and plan on a trip to the southwestern part of the state, just to hunt different country

I will be hunting around home mostly. I have a rifle elk trip that my brother and I have planned for three years and finally got the points for the unit in Oct. I have a short trip to Ohio and the rest will be at home or mine and my brothers farm about 2 1/2 hours drive from me. Looks to be a busy hunting schedule and I'll probably have to sacrifice some due to work obligations.

I will of course be hunting my home state of Indiana but I also have an Ohio trip planned for the second week of November.

Unfortunately not for me and his year. I've been going to western Illinois first week in November the past few years, but this year I'm only hunting here in RI

I'm staying local again, but my dad is coming out from AZ for his first Ohio whitetail.
