Very much looking forward to this. I am unable to attend this year, so this should help me get my fix in.

I understand it is a vendor only show, just curious if there are any available (extra) passes. I just need one and I am a responsible "mind my own business kind a guy" that won't embarrass your company. I would just like to walk around and check out the show. Message me if you have a pass. Thanks

I'm guessing there will be no vendors with extra tickets. I believe they've been reducing the number of passes from what they used to give out because people were letting a bunch of "extras" in.

I figured that might be the case. The show is in my back yard and would love as an outsider to check it out. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Fitz is correct - the ATA has really cracked down on the number of people who aren't "in the industry" who can attend the show. It was getting a little out of control for awhile there. The entire point of the show is so dealers/buyers can meet with manufacturers to talk about products and put in orders, and so media can cover the new products for people to learn about. They found that too much time was being taken up with guys who wanted to simply chat about products or hunting and weren't there to buy anything to do any sort of real product coverage. If you're a manufacturer that spends tens of thousands of dollars to have a booth, travel and employ people to work you want them writing orders to talking to media people, not BSing with Joe Smith about his deer hunt from last fall.

I get it, and was hoping the way I described my intentions in the previous post was more clear. I am more interested in going as an observer and to enjoy the walk around. I realize there are the Joe Smith's you speak of in every industry, but I am not him.

Sorry if I implied that you were "that guy", just trying to give everyone an idea of what the show is all about and who it's industry-only.

We'll do our best to bring you live updates from the show so you can check everything out from the comfort of your computer screen. :D
