The Old Man checking in from Devils Lake, ND. First time in the contest. Should be fun. My hitlist doesn't have any monsters and I only get one tag this year but I hope to contribute something at least.
Checking in from Northern Minnesota. First time in contest, looking forward to participate this year. I'll be hunting around home (Grand Rapids), Medora ND and hopefully Pike County Illinois. So I best be able to contribute something!
Also start thinking about team name, captain, logo etc. I made the logo for our team last year (avatar and sig) so I can throw in a few designs and anyone else is welcome to do the same. When does everyone's season start. Mine is Oct 5 or whatever the first Saturday in Oct. Also, post some pics of the bucks you'll be chasing or just any cool trail cam pic you get. Lets get some points on the board and most importantly have fun!!
How about Team Rub Line? I thought I would get names going. My season starts last weekend in September.
Bow Brothers, Blood Trail, Bone Busters, Downwind Slayers. Here are a couple and Ill think of some more. Hoping we have an active team this year.
I like Blood Trail so far. Also like your avatar. Season here starts August 30th at noon. Only 10 days. Even though I don't get out too much until it cools off a bit, I am pumped. I have one buck running around that looks decent. Several others that may turn out nice. I got a late start with the trailcams so I am still looking for the stud. Jimmy, I lived in Aurora on the range for a year. You have some big woods to hunt where you're at. I am jealous hearing your hunt plans. All my hunting is within 10 miles of my house. I can usually be in my stand in less than an hour after I leave work. Looking forward to a great season.
My season opens September 14th. I'll be heading out to Medora the following week and if my Illinois plans come together I'll be there late October. I have a few pics of smaller bucks behind my home, non on my hitlist. I should have some decent bucks on my lease, just waiting for the loggers to clear out of it. I'm hoping to see quality whitetails out in Medora, although I'm unsure what to expect. I'll also applied to take part in the annual Fort Ripley hunt here in Minnesota, always a chance at a monster there if you get selected. Old Man, I was just up in Aurora a few weeks ago to shoot the R100. Always like being up on that side of the Range. Did you work in the mines? I'll put a vote in for Team Blood Trail also. Hopefully we can get some points on the board this year. Anyone know what the high score was last year?
Im pretty sure it was over a thousand. Ill send some messages to our other teammates just letting them know the teams were picked and to check in.
Chris checking in from Ohio. I've been in a few of the deer contest on BH.com. Last year I put up a little over 180 with my doe and buck. Hoping to do the same or more this year.
