LOL PT...The team I was on last year had some no shows which sucked and then had some that signed in and that was the last we heard from them....Hopefully this team will do a better job at communicating lol....

I would like to introducemysef so here you go...

My name is Josh Norwood and I am from Duplin County, NC. I am 29 and happily married with one son and and another little boy on the way. He is due Dec. 13th....My passion of course is bowhunting and I am super excited for this season even though I have got no pics of shooter bucks....However I am only running 2 cams and I have apprx. 25-30 spots to hunt so maybe I can get lucky and find one lol.... If not then I will concentrate as usual on controlling the doe population as well as pigs and coyotes....

We have had some record rainfalls around here this year unlike many out in the midwest and other areas....The corn and beans look great around here....Last year this time almost all of the corn had been picked or cut because of the drought conditions...There is mostly corn around me so I have not really been able to glass in the evening....How is everybody else season shaping up?? Any bucks made the hitlist yet??

Everyone checked in should be bolded but sometimes I'm blind so if I miss someone please let me know....

Agree NC - to me the hunting contest is as much about getting to a few members and hunters as the actual contest itself... Hopefully everyone will check in and drop some posts periodically - active teams are a lot of fun!

    Little bit about me...

My name is Jason, live in South Dakota. Married with two girls (3.75 and 1.5 years old), will be 35 this October and I'm a IT Manager by 'trade'...

When it comes to big game I'm pretty much archery only anymore... My favorite species is whitetails - love hunting big whitetails during the rut - but this year ironically I'm burning a bunch of my vacation time and hunting funds on an out of State Elk hunt (leave for NM in 2 weeks) and then a WY antelope hunt which I just got back last week.... Should still find plenty of time to chase bucks around home though...

Here's a pic of me and my goat from opening weekend...

    That is exactly right SDH!!

Well I am a Land Records Specialist...I just somehow got the job lol.. I went to school for Business Administration which is not related to the GIS at all lol....

Yeah, our team last year was pretty active to start with but then it just died...I would post a question or just a general comment and it would take a week or two for somebody to respond and I was lucky to get that...

Sounds good NHB!! Usually the only time I pick up the gun is for Dove season which opens this Saturday here and Duck season...I will use the shotgun occasionally during turkey season and the rifle during deer season but mostly stick and string....Well does will get us 50 points so fire away lol....I hope to get one the first day of the season so I can get that 50 points out of the way....

Check-in is coming along - only 4 left to report....

The one thing my team really learned last year is that while big bucks are great (all of our bucks averaged over the P&Y min), it was the does that put the winning team over the edge.... If we can get a bunch of does on the ground, a few bucks should also hit the ground eventually - hopefully making things interesting... More than trying to win of course, just hope to have some good hunting dialog over the next few months and get to know everyone...

Trying to debate if I want to try and install a few cameras or not this year... Its maybe been 2 years since I've put them out... Got a couple of stands to hang - maybe when I get those put up....

Hello Team 15! My name is Jason Gauthier and i'm 30 years old. I am a husband going on 10 years and a father of 4... 3 boys (Preston, Parker and Connor) and one baby girl (Camby), I'm proud to say they ALL love the outdoors and will be joining me in a tree stand sooner than later (I hope)! :) I was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and have been chasing whitetails my whole life, I promise to be very active and try my hardest to contribute to this team with some definite doe kills and if i'm lucky enough, a trophy buck.

My obsession and passion is 'bowhunting', it is truly what I eat, breathe and sleep, 365 days a year. So much so that this year I have finally taken it to the next level, I have got some sponsors on board and started my own reality bowhunting show called 'Life at FULL DRAW'. My team and I hunt mainly Northeast Wisconsin where we are after some real jokers, we also hunt in Michigan, North Dakota and Colorado for mule deer and elk. Needless to say it will be easy to keep track of my progress since there will be a camera over my shoulder for all of it.

As I said I'm super excited to be a part of this team and look forward to an incredible 2012 hunting season... and if any of you ever find yourself way up here in the Upper Peninsula (Marquette County) area make sure to give your teammate a heads-up and i'll treat you to some 'yooper' hospitality!
-If anyone is interested please take a moment to checkout and 'like' the 'FULL DRAW' facebook page to view our hitlist bucks and get updates during the season. http://www.facebook.com/upfulldraw
Thanks Fella's! and GOOD LUCK out there!

I'm guessing next on the agenda would be to select a team captain and eventually a team name!?
My vote for team captain is 'SouthDakotaHunter', since he started the thread and seems to be a pretty stand-up guy! :)

    Team name suggestions:
    Whitetail Pursuit ?
    Team Bloodtrail ?
    15 and counting... ?

:) , just throwing stuff out there.

Yeah, I think your right - need to come up with a team name and captain.... Think any of your suggestions are fine... Only one that comes to mind for me right now is: 15 Pointers

Think you and I are similar in a lot of ways Jason - ha ha (with the eating and breathing bow-hunting).... My wife has learned there really isn't an off-season anymore.... The hunts are over so fast, I've really learned to relish the preparation for the trip and hunt - looking at satellite images, talking to biologists, game wardens, ranchers, other hunters, etc. Your hunting show sounds pretty cool, looking forward to learning more about it!
