But then theres this. You find it exciting to find and hang up on the wall but you know that you didnt get the kill and that you never will.

This particular buck never even got to shed his velvet. (and that velvet still on the antlers stunk to high heaven!) He was scored at 151 and 3/8.

This shed measured 68 2/8" with only a 16 7/8" main beam! I'm guessing there was about 6" busted off while he was in velvet. It measured 5 7/8" between the G3 and G-4. I still feel like I won the lottery! lol:lol:

After a good talk with the landowner, my son suggested we look for sheds, so I agreed and we took a small walk. Ten minutes in, and he's yelling for me he found one, so I went over to him. He not only found one, but two antlers. Not real big, but they were the first sheds he ever found, and it was a matched set. I've never found a matched set laying together like he did. One happy little boy, and I was proud of him!
