I've tried rattling a bit with no succes here in FL. Anyone have any pointers or tips. I use a basic rattling bag but was wondering if anyone feels actual sheds are more effective.

Bone seems to work better than bags. I rattle agressively for 30-45 seconds with a couple deep grunts mixed in. If nothing happens wait 30 minutes and repete. If you call to often and the deer is slow coming in you will clue him in on your position, but most of the time they come in on a string. I hope this helps. It works good in Pa.

Thanks that is along the lines of what I do with my bag I'll try to switch to a pair of my sheds and I think might be rattling a bit to long

Just be careful with the sheds. It can be rough on the digits. :)
