I have bought tumorous WI before because they were cheaper on the wallet. I decided to buy a Browning and Stealth the other day and I love them. They did cost me in the 100's but, so far they have been great. So long with the WI and hello to Stealth and Browning. Would still like to try Covert eventually as well.
Wildgame Innovations cams suck in my opinion. I had one and have other family members that have had them and the picture quality was always crappy and trigger time is horrible. I have 2 browning cams and they take the best pictures out of any camera I have.
I have(had) 8 cameras and out of all of them the WI were the worse, they quit on me, took more battery life and just were all around a pain in my A$$. I have 3 stealth cams, 3 moultrie and 2 converts now. I will never go back because they ruined 3 of my cards, the pic quality sucked and they are just good for a 1 year warranty.
I have a Reconyx HC500 that I think I'm going to sell in a month and get 2 Brownings as I really like the picture quality.
If you buy 1 Covert, get the MP6, That little camera takes a lot of pics and runs forever on a set of batteries. I have one with over 100,000 pics on it.
Because they get new cameras ever year to replace the crap that broke last year for free. Lee said he runs like 300 cameras. I gave them an honest try and they simply just failed.
My mp6 has been in the woods 24/7/365 for 4 years straight...still the best camera I have...love that thing Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
I like my $60 WI a lot more than my $150 cuddle back and my $100 moultrie.... Just my opinion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Im hit and miss on this. Ive owned a dozen WI cameras over the last 5 years and only 1 of them failed me. Most of them I still use to this day. T
I own 4 WI and this month I just had one go bad with the flash not working at night, still takes great photos during daylight but I get black pictures at night? Anybody have this problem?
Bought a Stealth G42 ng and a browning strike force elite hd and both cameras have been spot on. No complaints.
Bought my first camera this fall. Moultrie Game Spy 100 V2. Obsolete but the price was right and it works. I have seen that. Forgot and left it in setup mode the first couple days. Then the battery died. Put in a new $3 6V battery. Made sure it was set up right. Left it several days through the shot gun season. Went to pull the card and that battery was dead and no pic's yet. Bought an Energizer this time. Will put it out tomorrow afternoon to check the one spot for early morning activity. So far game cameras don't impress me much. Will put $300 in a good crossbow first.
You won't catch me buying a Wildgame innovation camera. Nothing but problems when i tried them several years ago. Maybe they've gotten better. I purchased two browning cameras on ebay for 90 some bucks. Only problem is the one clock is slow and will be off. It's annoying but it still takes pictures well.
I bought a wild game camera this year on sale for 40 dollars. I've since bought two more. They work great and haven't had a single problem. For that price can't go wrong. I've had other expensive brands like Primos and Moultrie. Both gave me problems at some point.
I think the problem is that your WGI camera is "tumorous"......sounds like it had issues right out of the box. I own one trail cam.....a Covert MP6 and it has been flawless. A buddy runs WGI and swears by them.....good pix too. Like someone previously mentioned, it appears to be a hit or miss situation with many brands of trail cams.
