I am looking at doing a few hunting trips next year and would like to know what kind of bow cases are airline approved.
I have been told that your case need to meet requirements to be allowed on the plane
Any advice or info is greatly appreciated.

I have taken several flights and I have a SKB bow case. I have never had any issues when traveling with this case.

I have a cheap plano rifle case I use for my Oneida. Just make sure you have TSA locks, stay below the airline size and weight requirements, oh and the assurance the case will protect your bow. [IMG]

I flew in sept of 2015 to hunt. I just used a hard golf case, clothing above and below it , and it didn't move at all. Fit in with stabilizer off. Just make sure it's lockable. Arrows and all went in there, only needed one checked bag. Gave room for a cooler for my second bag !

I use a cheap plano 50 bucks with locking hatches. Have only flown southwest airlines with no problem. Only the first time. TSA came up to me as i entered the airport and asked if i had a weapon in the case. I said a bow for a FL. hog hunt. They made me go with them to the big silver table and they emptied the entire case including the foam. They repacked it exactly as it was and I was on my way. They actually ran me to the head of the line in a golf cart cuz they kept me there for 45 min searching the case. I think they mark you as a passenger who travels with weapons because since that time they have never searched my bow case again.
