Hey there, I'm interested to know what are some good choices for packs to get in and pack game out of the back country.

Lots of good pack choices. EXO, Stone Glacier, Mystery Ranch, Kifaru and Seekoutside. all make top quality packs in many styles. Start you search with them and your sure to find what suits you.

The best pack is the one you can convince somebody else to carry for you......

Ton of great packs out there. If you are trying to do it on the cheap, I'd recommend buying a ALICE pack from an army surplus, and doing the MOLLE strap conversion. That's been working great for me.

I even used the frame today to haul 150 3' sections of decking into the woods for a boardwalk I'm building on our hiking trail.

Thanks for the suggestions. One brand that has not come up is the large pack Kuiu makes. Any opinions on that pack or the brand in general

For that money, you'd be better off with a Kifaru, or Stone Glacier.

    What Trial said.

And if you're spending that much on a pack, I'd go with a company that specializes in packs. Kuiu is more of a clothing company that tries to make packs.

The one constant thing I've heard about Kuiu packs is that it feels great with 30 pounds, but it kills you when you load it with 70+. The other brands named will carry the load better, making the load out feel much lighter.

I don't have a ton of first hand experience, but what I do know is that you probably need something with a a torso adjustment. Mystery Ranch, Kifaru, Eberlestock, Exo all seem like good packs, and I've heard some positive things about Tenzing

The Outdoorsman packs are very good packs for multi day/ back country packs.
