Wanting to get a ground blind so that I can take the steps sons out hunting with me. Looking for any suggestions on brands or specific model and thoughts on shoot through mesh windows.
I bought an Ameristep Dominator at Walmart for $89. It was big enough for my son, wife, and me with room to spare. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I bought two just because of the price. Ours had them for $74. They are big blinds with windows the whole way around. Also have the vertical windows in the corners for bowhunting.
Rhino XP-1 is an awesome blind and easy to setup. No zippers on it and it has Shoot Thru Mesh Windows. Predator Camo is really nice too.
Noise never bothered me when was breezy. If you put the blind early enough the deer will be used to any noise the blind makes due to wind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you are shooting a Fixed blade broadhead, not at all. I would not shoot a mechanical through one. It also depends on the speed of your bow. I am sure low poundage bows would be affected.
A great tip I got once was "Camouflage is for trees, wear black in a ground blind!" This is SO IMPORTANT!! It allows you to get away with more movement in the blind.
I have been using Lucky's hunting Blinds. A little bit expensive but it's a blind that you will have for a long time. Big, roomy and durable. I've had two for over 10 years and have bought more since. I set them up in September and take them down in December.
Haven't really looked today, was out with the kids doing some shed hunting and helping get the sugar bush cleaned up with my dad
