Anyone ever used any of these hunting apps? I have used this Hunt Stand lite, really handy for public land or planning your attack, to food plots to sightings, to even tracking. The weather part is fairly accurate and to be able to flip from a computer image where a public park might lay, to an actual google maps image to help really narrow down where things are.
OnX Hunt is awesome but not for like $40 a year. Those guys are crazy!! I use HuntStand too. It's really good and free. I wouldn't mind $10 a year for OnX Hunt. Those guys are just greedy.
I use a regular GPS, I can do a lot more with it. You can use google earth and the map feature in the GPS software. For me my phone seemed to be off when setting up waypoints. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
I use a bunch of apps. Weather- AccuWeather and weather underground used to use Scoutlook but don't like the newer version. Navigation- Trimble GPS Hunt, Google maps, and Handy GPS. Recon - Google earth & maps along with various websites to access topo maps and other info.
i use onxmaps especially when hunting in a new area the ability for it to show all the parcels and landowner names it a really nice feature i figure $30 a year makes it on of my cheap archery accessories.
I use a few different apps. ScoutLook, HuntStand Lite, RadarNow, NOAA, GPS Essentials. ScoutLook has had some issues lately especially with the part of the app that keeps track of the hunt logs. I've emailed them but never rec'd a response.
The GohuntPA app the PGC provides gives a very accurate satelitte map, I use it all the time when scouting. First I check out the spot with google earth and mark down any spots I wish to scout, and then I can go into the woods and see my self on the gohuntpa app with my phone. As long as you have a little cell service it displays your location pretty accurately, every once in a while the marker (your location) might be off by 10 feet or so, but that isn't a big deal, and its free!
