Happy to say that after much research I purchased some FMJs. They just arrived at the house today and all I can say is wow. The arrows seem to be extremely well made. It seems like 9/10 of the reviews I read said the FMJs hit the target like a truck and after having them in my hands I get the feeling I will have the same opinion. I haven't had a chance to get them to the shop and get the bow tuned, but once I get that done I'll be rushing to the range to try them out. Anyone have any experiences with the FMJs they can share?
That is all I shoot! I have the Easton 340 Lost Camo FMJs and the Easton Injexion Deep Six FMJs. They are Awesome arrows. I have had a Pass Thru on EVERY deer I have shot with these arrows. EVERY ONE! They do Hit Like a Truck and they fly really well. You will be Very Pleased with how they perform.
Nice looking arrows! I came to the realization this year that I don't need an unnecessary amount of speed. I hold my shots to 30 and in on game and for that I don't need the fastest, flattest shooting arrows out there. I wanted an arrow that I know will give me the best penetration possible. Now I just need to get everything set up and get out to the range.
LOL! What can I say, I Love the FMJ arrows. I also limit the distance I shoot at 30-40 yards max. Maybe this is why I get pass-thru shots. Either way, the FMJs do the job really well!
I keep going back and forth one buying some. I am a huge Easton arrow fan and have been shooting Bloodline's since 2012. I always get complete pass throughs with these so I have been hesitant to switch.
I've also used the FMJs for the past couple of seasons. And they have been my favourite arrows out of all the different types I used and tried over the years. Sam pretty much summed it up with what he said. I don't know anyone that didn't like them after giving them a try. I got close to switching to the deep six FMJs but decided to stick with the regular ones because I have to many broadheads that fit the HIT inserts.
Easton has been my go to arrow since I started shooting, but Tim Gillingham got me to try Gold Tip. I sent him an email and he gave me a great set up, 300 spine velocity with a 4 fletch Vantec 3" super spine vanes and a 20gr insert weight.
