You betcha. Watch the last episode of BHOD where Clinton talks about having to drag his buddy out of the woods in a sled because he fell out of his tree stand and broke his shoulder and hip. Buy a decent one (not the one that comes with a stand) and it's really no nuisance at all.

18 feet is a long ways down. If you don't want to pay $150 for a harness I'll send you one that came with a stand free of charge. Your life is worth more than a few dollars. Plus you can get a nice one for around $70.

It would be the money you have ever spent. I've been hunting for 22+ years and I won't get in a stand without one. You can find nice one's for less than a hundred bucks. I got the Tree Spider Micro harness and love it. Find them all day long on Ebay for $80

I reccomend the big game ironhide saftey harness. I use it and it is very easy and i got it for 45 dollars. So very affordable.

Keep a look out of BPS and Cabelas for they have been putting some on sale during the holidays. Cabelas had some HSS ones that were nice on sale for 39.99 the other day with free shipping.

Don't Hunt Again Until You Have One! Life is Too Short! Watch the BHOD video from last week and see what happened to Clinton and Frank's friend. Also, Dean Krueger lost his Dad to a treating stand accident a while back. Like CoryTN said, keep an eye out on Cabelas, BPS and DSG. They have some good deals on HSS. It doesn't matter what they cost, your life is worth it!

I echo what everyone else has said. I love seeing threads like this where guys offer to send someone a harness. That sense of community is a great thing. Stay safe out there!
