I am about to upgrade to the HTR and I have been debating switching to the HHA single pin sight. I know it is popular with the guys from BHOD and I know they have won many awards. My question is for the guys who have one and use it for hunting. Has it ever cost you a shot at a deer because you changed the distance and then the deer moves and you have to change distance again? Or do you still go by the general range checking certain landmarks and adjust accordingly to the deer location?

I have an HHA on both my bows. I set mine to 25 yards and I can make any shot up to 40 yards without moving it.

Do you just adjust by aiming higher?

I do the same. Just practice using it set at 40 and learn how much it drops. If I have plenty of time I dial in to the exact yardage.

Yes. I practice at various yardages. It is not hard at all once you start doing it.
