I'm wanting to try some lighted nocks for the first time this year. What kind is everybody using? Looking for the best overall value.
I use nockturnals they light up well never have had one not light up when shot. turning them off can be a pain in the butt sometimes though.
I have been using the Lumenoks for quite some time and am very pleased with my results. no change in point of impact switching from my X-nocks. they have always turned on at the shot, they are very bright and have many that have been through multiple animals and still work perfectly. they are a little heavier than some lighted nocks out there but they preform great.
I used nocturnals when out of state can't use them in Colorado which is a dumb rule. I also had some from burnt coyote or something like that. Just make sure they shut off or that you can shut them off. Makes finding your arrow much easier and for being able to tell where you hit on an animal.
Are any of the lighted jocks going to change the flight of my arrows? Or would I be ok to pick any of them and put them on?
They'll all change the flight of your arrow slightly. Your set-up (draw weight, draw length, cam style, ect.) will determine how much they will change your POI.
Luminoks. Work great and no tools needed to turn off. Simply pull on the nock a little. I'll use them for target practices even.
Logman, I shoot nocturnals and they have worked flawlessly for me. My only comment is that I did notice a change in my point of impact. Not so much at 20 yards but out at 40 there was. I would recommend practicing with them if you are going to hunt with them.
I shoot Green nockturnals and have no complaints...a great and simple to use lighted nock! Have been contemplating getting some white ones also, but not to sure how bright they would be in comparison so probably will just stick to green...Anyone shoot the whites?
I use Blue Nockturnals and love them. The sight of them zipping thru the air is awesome. Been very pleased with them. Never had them not turn on. Yes they are a little hard to turn off. I just use the tip of a pocket knife to reset it.
I have tried other brands but really like the Nockturnals. Have even had them stay lit in a test for over 3 weeks.
