I have a similar release, I am shooting the Carter chocolate lite 3 finger, which looks a lot like the release you posted a picture of. It is my first year switching from a wrist style release to a handheld thumb trigger release. I will never go back to a wrist strap style release! I feel much more stable at full draw and my groups are much better since switching.
Don't know anything about that particular model but carter makes down really quality products. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well I went out and shot it a good bit today. This is my first T-handle release and I'm really liking it. Just trying to develop a comfortable/consistent anchor point. I've also researched a little bit and I don't think Carter makes it anymore but I think I got a really good deal on it!
Yes your anchor point will def change. That's certainly is a great deal. Carter makes great releases, I love mine! Shoot a chocolate lite 3 finger also for 2 years now and it has improved my form and my group big time. Good luck with it!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You may need to adjust your peep, loop and draw length to get things back to a comfortable and repeatable hold and anchor. And you may not, I typically have to make a slight loop and peep adjustment when switching from a wrist style to a hand held.
Also, what helped me with a consistent anchor was having points of reference. I use a kisser button so thats always in the same spot. With that said, after that first point of reference the string then touches the front of my nose and then i always hold my knuckles right under and in front of my ear lobe. My last knuckle is literally right up against the ear lobe...every time! Those are my 3 anchors and references for me that help me be consistent. The more you keep practicing with it the more comfortable you'll get with it and start realizing the changes and what feels and works best for you. Good luck!
