I won a range finder, a Bushnell Scout DX 1000 and already have a Nikon Archer's Choice. One of the guys I work with asked to buy my Nikon, but I was wondering if any has had any experiences with the Bushnell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
id keep the Nikon and sell the Bushnell. I sold my Archer's choice to a friend I thought needed it and I spent the next month buying and returning several high end range finders only to go back and buy another Nikon Archer's Choice.
I did a little side by side comparison today. Pros: the Nikon has a padded case and adjustable sling for carrying, easy to move when stalking. The Bushnell has a case with a belt loop. It would be one less thing for me to worry about on my body for the shot. The Nikon has the built in incline/decline detection. The Bushnell also has the angle declination feature, and will tell you on the display what the angle is Cons: the Nikon is larger than the Bushnell. With the Bushnell, I can range houses around my area, 256 yards was the max distance I saw. The Nikon is also larger in size. I think that I might stick with the Bushnell, but am still in the air. I have the Nikon Archer's Choice. It is the first and only rangefinder I have ever owned. I have owned it for over 3 years and I have yet to change the batteries in it. I looked at many others (Bushnell, Leupold and so on) before I bought it. I only Bow Hunt. So the Archer's Choice is perfect for me. For kicks, I have ranged things out to 120 yards with it. But, the longest shot I will take on deer is 40 yards, so I don't need anything else. Keep the Archer's Choice, sell the Bushnell!
