So I put this together. Didn't cost to much. Maybe $45. Had some things laying around. I think it about 17x more powerful than an ozonics. I did the 3.5g kit off ebay. Can't wait to start using it this season. 20150803_193725.jpg

Nice but it really isn't needed up in a tree.

For deodorizing gear. Its great. In a tree.................... Not so much. In a pop-up. Not going to do it. Still like the DIY nature your what you did. I have a few of them (purchased) for deodorizing my gear.

I too am a big fan of using ozone to treat clothing and equipment. Just no use for a tree unit.

For the guys that deodorizer with these before hunting what do you do it in? Just shove this unit in the tote?

I have a 2 man tent that I set up by the garage. I set the tent up and run the ozone machine then I add my washed camo, boots bow and release and cycle the machine again. When I hunt before I take a shower I turn the machine on and reset it when I get dressed in the tent.

Not sure why you guys wouldnt want to take it with you. Going to test it in the field and see what happens.

Jmcar. A tote or better yet hang them all up in a coined space and let the ozone blast them. Just remember not to breath it in and air out the space.

Think I might make a closet in the garage for it.

I would like to have a "closet" for all of my gear but i just dont have the space available so all my stuff has to stay in totes and i wasnt sure if the ozone would get to all the clothes while packed in a tote. I dont know a lot about the ozone stuff.

You can put clothes back in totes once treated. The tent as mentioned would be great. Put your totes in the tent as well.

How did you get this to work with the battery? Most of the ozone units online require an AC input?

Not wanting to be the geek but what is the science behind the ozone, is it the extra oxygen atom dissociating itself from the O3 to make O2 and oxidize what is comes in contact with?

instead of using a tote Scent Crusher makes a gear bag that has the ozone generator built into it. Just put your clothes in the bag set the time and have scent free clothes when its done. They also have a closet system that is bigger and you can put all your gear in it.

They do, you can put it in the bag, then get the go for your car/ truck. Will clean everything inside your car as well. Get the bag and it looks just like a normal bag.

I'll be getting the closet for my hunting clothes shortly for the coming deer season. The technology is awesome.

ok going to build a new one. the unit i made is great for shock treatments. used it a couple times out in the field and researched it on other sites. we came up with the same conclusion. the units are to powerful for hunting use. it has a over powering ozone smell. we dont think the deer smell us but get wierded out by it. came to this conclusion by watching there body movements and actions. we also seem to think that ozone should be in the 200mg range. so thats what i will be doing and putting it together in a smaller system. for those looking into them there are a couple out there for $100. amazing1 ozone100 and Whitetail'R ScentPurge 270+ just add a battery pack to them
