I'm a plumber by profession and I want to take my son out hunting later this year. He's 9 and doesn't sit still so I wouldn't let him get into a deer stand. So I tend to make a lot of things with pvc. So I'm making a pvc blind. I know I can do it differently but with season close this is what I'm starting with. Now when I set it up in the woods there will be Windows cut in the burlap surround the pvc frame and a plywood roof with a rubber mat on a slant so water will run off. Will add pictures and I tear it down and put it back up in its hunting location.
I did something similar with pvc and burlap, except i made it T-Pee shaped , I cut out windows on 3 sides and hung screen that use magnets to stay closed, this eliminates the Velcro noise its tall enough and round enough that i can stand to draw my bow, i used 3/4 in pvc cut into 2 foot lengths that i connect with connectors, no screws as they fit tight, so i can take it apart, put them in a bag i made, attach it to my pack and be on my way..
That's awesome, I a made something similar with wood, but never even thought about PVC, which would have been much lighter. Thanks for the idea, I may steal it for the future.
How tall is it? Looks shorter than what I would want for a bow. Are you using a crossbow? couple suggestions, add more cross bars, not for support as much as for places to hang items. Also, might want to think of backing the burlap or doubling the thickness to cut the light that penetrates it, especially on the back
