Ok went to a friends house so son could get some pointers from someone but dad maybe he could hear better. So he had a morel m-48 bale there to shoot at but I priced them and out of what I could afford so I thought I'd ask u all what other ideas I could use to build him a range in basement that wouldn't kill the bank but was large enuff so if he had an opps that wouldn't wreck arrows hitting wall so when weather is bad he could still practice his form and dad could use it for his also lol it b a 12 year shot was looking for thoughts and ideas thanks

You could build one out of carpet strips. Make it as big as you need.

I'm in the process of building a Third Hand Archery DIY target based on their 48" skin kit for my basement. I have two more 36" skin kits for my backyard range that I'm planning on building out soon as well. They get killer reviews online just about everywhere you look.

For about $60 and a bunch of old clothes you will have a killer setup for next to nothing in cost.

These are cheap and easy to make I have 20 yards in the basement. Old clothes with all zippers and buttons removed a box of some sort sides.

Does the style of carpet matter for the build. Man it seems like u would have to giggle up a lot of clothes to fill a target a

I think this is easy. I have a basement area of 50 square meters, I manually create the shoot target and paint them. But sometimes my outdoor archery range with my daughter. I like to breathe fresh air.

Find a local recycling company and see what they want for a bale of cardboard.

I couldn't find one here, but on archery talk in the diy section there are a couple of write ups on them. Here's one I built.

No I did not, at the time lowes only had a hand full of treated left and they were all junk. I'll eventually paint or stain it when i find the time. Besides I'm not able to leave mine outside due to a German sheperd that loves to chew on wood.

Looks good either way!! There's a place down the street from me called Lelanite.. They made the targets for my club. 140 bucks for the sheets. I'll be using the that for my indoor basement range and outdoor range.
