So I know that the thread is for hunting projects, but I decided to replace the metal stand that I was utilizing in my man cave and instead made one out of an electric spool.

I work for an electric company and thought it was a good way to tie in my job to my favorite spot in the house.

Cool idea and it looks good. I used to work for a telecommunications company and personally the last thing I want to look at when I come home is the spool that I just spent 12 hours spooling off miles of fiber cable. haha

Nice job. We were poor when I was growing up. We had an electric spool for a table outside. And a horse trough for us kids to swim in. Hahaha! Ahhhh the good old days...

That's awesome! My wife has seen some pictures on Pintrest with using spools like that for different types of tables. They really seem to work well and look great if you have the right decor for them. We have a round coffee table in the living room now we'd like to replace with a spool. Just need to find one the right size.

The smaller spools make great end tables too... Nice job,
