Pretty nice ones could be made from marine grade plywood and PVC pipe if a person was creative. I'm working on designing a feeder buggy to fill feeders with and I'm going to make the hopper out of plywood and the grain handling system from PVC. No reason why a feeder couldn't be built the same way. Our Bossbuck feeders are pretty simple, I think I could build them cheaper than $300 for a 350# feeder.

Have to try one of those but tape it up so it doesn't stand out in the woods

We use a similar system for our food plots. Works pretty well. Ours is bungee 'd to a tree and some have a 45 degree bend and others just sit close to the ground. If you have any ideas on how to keep the raccoons out, I would be all ears!

A 50 gallon drum with a hole cut out near the bottom on the side. They work great for us
