Needed a new target! So I spent a little time and used all the scrap wood, shingles, staples, house wrap, clothing, and chicken wire and this is what I came up with. This what the inside looks like and I didn't take a pic but it is very packed and has a lot of clothes in it now. I will take some pics if it when it is totally done Hutch

Looks functional but this story is nearly worthless without some explanation of what exactly we're looking at, how it was made and what from, etc..
Well here is an explanation, It is a framed box with 2 open ends 12" deep,4'x5 'wide. On the 2 open ends it is covered in chicken wire. On the top of the frame is a hole cut into the frame this is so you can stuff it with clothing and plastic. It is covered by a roof shingled to keep out the rain and snow. Once stuffed with clothes and packed tight its faced with House wrap then over that it is covered with Black Landscaping material. I took a point blank shot and the arrow only stuck in 6". Nice target and cheap! Hutch

Hiutch n Son How hard is it to pull the arrows out? and what lbs to you shoot. this is a interesting build and something I would be interested in building myself
Very easy to pull the arrows out. I shoot 63lbs but it will easily take 70lbs. We have smaller ones of these targets that we shoot point blank with 70lbs and it only goes in 6 to 7inches. For safety I went to Homedepot and got a 1/4" thick recycled rubber mat and put that on the back for more stopping power just in case. Hutch.
Hard to say I had all I needed at home to make the big one. The only thing I had to buy is the chicken wire and the landscape material. I would say for the out door one approx $150 Hutch
