    Kind of what I figured, not a big change, and the deer population isn't going to plummet because crossbows are allowed. I was surprised by the Michigan stats though. Almost 50/50 vertical bows to crossbows.

    I just read this. Thank you a very good read. Every time somebody in my state tries to legalize crossbows it gets shot down.

    I've a friend who hunts in Ohio & uses compound bow & crossbow depending on what area he's hunting, he uses the crossbow from ground blinds & compound for everything else. Ohio has had both legal for decades and it's not hurt the deer numbers at all.

    Mi where I live now has pretty close to the same percentages using each as Ohio has had for years. Both are relatively short range weapons.
