Messed up my shoulder and got a crossbow so I could hunt this year. Man, is sure makes it easy for a someone just starting out ! I've compound bow hunted for 25 years and to be able to just pick up a weapon and get dialed in in a matter of minutes is awesome ! Well here's what the first shot at a deer got me.. 30yds.[IMG]

Nice buck. While the xbow may sight in easy you still have to know how to hunt and do yardage. Glad you can keep hunting.

Congrats, your story sounds all to familiar. Hopefully you can get your shoulder squared away and get back to the compound if you wish. I hunted with a crossbow for a couple seasons before and after my shoulder surgery. Went back to a compound(Elite), dropped the weight down to 60lbs and haven't had any issues so far.

Nice shot for the first one. My first shot hit something in route and went low. Cannot take antlered deer in Iowa with a cross bow and have 2 easy shots since. Like others, old age (76) and bad shoulders cannot pull 45# compound. 21 more days to hunt starting the 19th again.
