i hunt with a bow.i have a friend who just bought a cross bow from a coworker.the guy told him the best shot was a neck shot.ive never seen this before with archery.ive personlly shot and killed w/ guns the neck shot if in the spine is an instant stopper.so if you hit the jugular or the spine then i could understand but there seems room for a through shot and not much blood.

    Lots of threads on this
the neck isnt your best bet, simply becuase it isnt the biggest target. and there is some room for error there.
    Go for the boiler room
Right in the crease of the legthe leg and up 4 inches.

I agree with the above post. My kill spot is the same as my compound spot. I still want the double lung/heart. I killed 4 deer this past season ... 2 at 20-25 yd, I at 30 yd and 1 at 40 yd. all were in the same spot, clean pass throughs. I will say this, when hunting, I use a tripod to help stabilize my shot, so if he's not going to use a stick and he wants good shot placement....practice, practice, practice.
