Good article. I'm very disappointed in the lack of testing drop off sites. I would happily pay to have the testing done but there are very few options for drop off.

In reality what can be done? Once it's present in the enviroment there is no stopping it, I think they realize this which has lead to the reduced testing. I'm unhappy with the way deer farms are handled, but once it's present in an area it's here to stay and nothing can be done to help the inevitable spread.

They may not be able to stop it but to just give up studying the disease is irresponsible. Deer hunting is big business in WI, should we really be turning a blind eye to this disease?

I agree with you, but research costs $.

Doing nothing will also cost money in the long run in the form of reduced licence sales.

Reduced deer herd, reduced license sales, spreading disease is a reality of the future, studying it isn't changing a thing. Like out west its going to take about 30 years to see the true effects, but its coming.

Surprisingly that they don't have a cure for this yet...
