    Sorry for the rancher. Thats a big loss. It'll take him a while to replace that many. Interesting though it didn't scorch the bale. It must have hit close by and traveled since they were ankle deep in shtuff.

    Dang that sucks! Hope the rancher had insurance on the cattle. That would be a huge loss to take in one bang, probably at least 20K laying there dead, more if they were carrying. That'd make you sick when you drove in to check em.

    That's a real bummer. Animals feeding with a metal feeder touching their necks. Instant ground!

    I lost my best coon hound that way. She was hitched on a chain with a metal ring over a metal pipe for her to run around and lightning hit the tree by her run and skittered across the ground to the pole, up her chain and across her body. Never even got up to bark at the thunder like usual.

    Dangerous stuff for sure.
