Lone Wolf family that is. I'll be honest I was really going in to get a Muddy Vantage w. a set of sticks, but I just didn't like it as much as I thought I would. The platform on the Vantage was tiny and I just felt like I needed something bigger. The Muddy and the Lonewolf's were mounted side by side so I had a chance to try them out. As much as I wanted to like the Muddy over the Lone Wolf, I just didn't. The more I looked and the more I tested, the more I realized the Lone Wolf was going to be my choice. I really prefer the Muddy sticks because they have the steps on both sides, but the advantages of the stand outweighed the advantages of the sticks. So, I'm the proud new owner of a Lone Wolf Alpha II and a set of 4 sticks. The price is really tough to swallow, but I was able to get a better than average price for the stand and sticks. As parts of the deal, I was also able to buy a Hunter Safety System Pro harness for $25.00 with the purchase of the stand, so that helped offset some of the cost. I really have to give a shout out to Rogers Sporting Goods in Liberty, MO. The customer service was the absolute best I've had at a sporting goods retailer. They spent quite a while with me, telling me all about the stands and sticks and harnesses. Granted I knew most of what they were telling me, they took the time where most places wouldn't. Once I made my decision, they just told me they would have it up front waiting on me so I didn't have to worry about finding a cart and hauling it up there. All of this was around closing time where most folks just want to get you out of the store. If your in the KC area, I would highly recommend checking them out as their prices and service are far better than the competition.
Nice! Congrats on the new stuff. I wish the sporting goods stores around here had customer service like that. The ones by us suck.
Congrats on the new stand. I'll second the customer service at Rogers. I've only been once, and just to see what the place was like, but I was asked if I needed any help in every single department in the store. I live just a few minutes from a Bass Pro Shop, and I will be making the drive from now on when I am looking to throw down my play money.
Live from the stand. Ha ha. Got a chance to test it out on this afternoon. Found a nice straight tree on the edge of my timber. All in all it went up pretty quick and easy. Loving it so far. Not sure how high I got out up. I'm thinking about 17 feet to the platform. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 4
Great buy and service! Bought my LW alpha II last year. Let me tell ya, I'am a bigger hunter @ 260 and was a little worried about 2 nylon straps holding me up in a tree. LW stands build the highest weight rating in hang on stands that I've found. First time out I felt I could jump up and down on this stand and be safe. Felt just as safe as when I'am in my goliath climber. Congrats on your new set up and hope you kill many monster bucks from it.
Your gonna love that setup every time you use it. Money well spent! Congrats on the purchase and you didn't even have to wait for Christmas!
