Impossible..... there aren't any big deer in Iowa. Probably came from Kansas! :-)

What a great buck. Such a shame to find him like that.

First I've seen on that one, what a shame, I bet it was another EHD death.

Lol. I know for a fact they aren't in iowa. Illinois has them behind every tree I hear.

I heard about that that's right by me it was in our local paper here in Grundy / lasalle county. That reminds me of the giant 36 pointer poached from here in Grundy county a few years ago there are some giants out here especially in lasalle county.

Did I read about that one? They thought it was poached and they x-rayed it and a kid had taken it legally? but they found a broadhead in it's shoulder bone and another one along it's spine? Tough old deer

That's one heck of a buck. Rough way to find him but still would make one heck of a conversation piece.

That's all I've got on it from this end. Was hoping maybe there was a story out there. Seems pictures like this usually have a few different stories/locations with them.

With the pics going around of the deer without a tag, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets confiscated once the DNR gets wind of it.

    Yea that's very true

Isn't there some kind of tag you can get when finding something like that. Know there is in MO but haven't ever found one here worth calling in.

Yea but, you have to call and get the tag before even touching the found head.

That's what figured, so basically already got a strike against ya if you go to them or have it at home and say "hey look what I found"
