Just wondering if the bucks have dropped their antlers in PA yet? I've been out once scouting/shed hunting with no luck. Anybody have pictures or seen deer with antlers still on lately?
Saw two big eight pointers on our property this past weekend with both sides yet. I usually don't start getting serious until late in February or early March.
Most are still carrying on our property as of a few days ago (dad saw three up and comers traveling together). Last camera pull a week ago showed a lot of familiar faces still carrying as well.
I usually don't start hitting it hard till end of February as well, but I have friends that said they have some bucks with both sides dropped. I typically just check around the core bedding areas and fields for sheds early and open woods. Then once I'm sure all have dropped I go into the bedding areas and thickets. I'm going to check my cams tonight or Tommorw, any insight I gain I'll post. Good luck all
Thanks, guys. Actually saw 2 little bucks tonight just down the road from where I hunt... one was missing a side.
Haven't found any yet down here in Adams county, been out a few times. Usually wait til march to hit the good spots.Have found two dead bucks though so far.
I've seen 2 buck with missing antlers here in the last week.. So they're starting to drop. I went shed hunting a couple days ago and found one of last years sheds but no fresh ones, but like I said Ive seen buck that have shed one side.
