I have emailed my congressman and both Senators in Arkansas. Arkansas is not effected by this bill. But if this is not stopped who knows what states it will happen to next?

Great job! I've emailed both my Congressman and Senator here in IL as well. I plan on calling my Congressman's office shortly to leave a message, since nobody ever answers.

Hunters do a great job of talking about standing together and working together to help secure the future of hunting. We share things on Facebook or Like them in a Forum. But how many people actually take action when it's needed? We'll soon find out...

I have contacted my reps in Illinois over the last couple weeks. This is serious stuff for the future of hunting folks.

Just a heads up - the Rep who sponsored the bill has withdrawn it and issued a statement. We'll have something posted later this morning. :tu:

One bill down one more to go.....now hr622 needs to be dumped. And we can move on to the real issues.
Better more responsive management, streamed lined regulations and most importantly increased access for multiple uses.

This bill would do away with federal law enforcement agencies and provide bock grants to local agencies who would in theory take up federal enforcement.
The wording of bill is vague at best. With state, and local budgets already spread thin this bill amounts to at best taxing local services even more then they already are. We can't assume that our law enforcement officer are able to take on additional case work without adding significant additional resources. So how is that different then what we currently have? Furthermore or worst-case scenario I'd these funds get diverted into general use for these agencies and then we slowly start to drain circle again.
