IMO...Huge Disappointment. Only because I was hoping to get a bow for my girlfriend, but they released a youth, and a women's bow, both with a minimum DL of 24". I know I am speaking to a small market (literally and figuratively) BUT after Mathews released the avail, and Elite didn't impress with their bow release, I think we may both make the switch back to Mathews. This might be a pretty stupid reason to complain, because I love my current bow, but for those who enjoy buying a new toy each year (like I do) I think it is a good time to look at something different. I will say though, I like some of the changes they made on their flagship models, just nothing really impressed me all that much.
You can obviously tell the Bear Archery lead engineer works there now Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Shot Elite for years now, and not impressed with their version of the Halon basically. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Extremely disappointed launch and products from what I could see... terrible launch looks like it was planned and run by children. Very hard to actually see the bows... over an hour later and their web site is still not updated to reflect 2017 bows... very amateur Issues : Split limbs likely resulted in the drop of the transferable warranty... dumb idea Bear archery influence is too great... dumb idea, If I wanted a bear, I'd buy one... I did not and I do not want one The one possible bow of interest is NA until May... what happened to the two week turn around after launch date promised way back? Elite arrows and sight... really? Too much product diversification likely results in quality drop... stick to what you WERE good at. I will try them BUT I am pretty sure I will not buy a new 17.. love my 15 e35, the launch clearly shows there is no reason to change as they are going down a path aligning with everyone else. Sad day. T
Anyone see or hear costs yet? This should have been front a centre with the launch, the fact that it was not implies to me, that they are costly and not proud of the cost... if something is well priced, you tout that. T
I hope everyone else that could care less about Elite's 2017 bow launch also replies to the thread...
@tynimiller but like you, I will probably not be spending any money this year because I love my impulse.
I've never liked the revamped releases anyways...every bow company does it, shoot car companies do it...pretty much any product related company does it. Can't re-do everything every year.
Aesthetically speaking, I don't care for it. That being said, I'll reserve judgement on performance until I get a chance to shoot one (or if I get to shoot one).
Not to bring up more controversy with Elite, but the fact that they support Chris Brackett makes it that much easier to be disappointed in them!!!!!!!
Yes-they did a live feed of the release. Pretty entertaining as they had Bruce Buffer from UFC do it all.
I thought Buffer gimic was a flop and very un-entertaining. Give me a guy that actually hunts and knows and can describe it better not read a bit by bit transcript.
It was a pathetic amateur launch that could have been done by school children. Unbelievable, not worth the wait or time to see it if you have not already. T
Makes me disappointed when I tagged out in November that I didn't go shoot all of the other new bows now because I have been waiting on this one.
