Has always seemed like a good and decent guy...and making more money now back with Mathews doesn't remove that, but you ain't convincing me this comes down to anything other than money. I pray not though.
It's all about the money, and with him being as good as he is, I say go for it. That's his job, just like the rest of us if we were offered more money by a company we would have to look at it, be kinda stupid not to.
Very true, brand deals is somewhat different though depending on things said or statements made. Levi is a stand up dude and has never (to my knowledge) went over the top with zealous statements....like say you are sponsored by a camo company one year and you are blasting out all over that EVERYTHING else is junk in comparison....and bam you sign with "junk" the following year. Those switches bug me, this type not at all.
And I'm with you, with him seeming like a good guy, I just get that vibe off of him. I could be totally wrong though, but he doesn't seem like a Brackett or a Lakosky to me...
I know what you mean about brands but he could shoot a Strother, pse or a bow from Walmart and get the same results because he's good at what he does. You might have people who think bowtech or others are better but no one can say that mathews makes a bad bow, you might not like them but there is a reason they are on most of the hunting shows and all the competitions...
I started following Brackett on Facebook to see what all the fuss was about. It took me about 10 seconds and I genuinely didn't like him.
So called "celebrity" endorsements have always seemed silly to me. Does not matter if it is a bow or something completely unrelated to hunting. I am not buying any product because so and so uses it. Companies waste a lot of money on so-called "celebrity" endorsements.
You may not, but a lot of people do..... Especially new archers, they see what levi is shooting and head to the pro shop. Heck, ive seen guys on here buy Mathews just because that's what Justin and the guys shoot....
Well considering Levi is professional target archer first, hunter second, whatever brand he shoots helps sell bows. A lot of people switched to Elite because he did thinking they must be a better bow (nobody wants to think their favorite archer is in it just for the money). I am sure the same thing will happen now that is back with Mathews. I have never paid it any attention, I buy what bow I like. But a lot of people like to shoot what their favorite pro shoots.
"When I first shot this bow, I was literally blown away at how well I aimed and how much longer the forgiveness in my aiming was. Do what I did and try one. Just go shoot one. You will see just how easy these bows are to shoot when you do that." Levi Morgan – ELITE Archery Professional Shooter “When you’re competing at this level, consistency is everything. I need to go into every tournament knowing my bow will hold its tune. That’s what I had with Mathews for 15 years. They make the best-tuning, most accurate bows in the world.” Translation: "I shoot bows and endorse products for a living. It's how I feed my family. Like any other sports professional on the planet, I will sing the praises of whatever company pays me the most. Until my contract is up.
