He's 11, man we were both very excited!! He started bow hunting at 9, but he had some misfires. Finally connected on a couple. He's a good kid.

He shoots 36 lbs and that can be a struggle at times to shoot repeatedly. A good razor sharp two blade Magnus stinger is the trick, at least they seemed to preform better than others.

Congrats to the both of you. I can remember my son's first deer with a bow. He was ten years old and it was a four point. I was so excited that I walked right past it while we were tracking and he had to stop me because he found the deer. Spend as much time with your kids as possible and I can't think of a better way than hunting. My two boys are 26 and 22 years old now but my daughter is 16 and she has taken to hunting so I am still having a blast.

Incredible job Kid! What a great smile on that face.

Dad, I bet you are beaming with pride. Our kid shooting a doe probably feels better than us killing a 10 pointer.

Congrats to your son! What is his draw weight by the way? My daughter is interested in hunting but I'm not sure if she's ready to draw a hunting bow yet. Guess I could take her to the shop and see what she can draw but curious what you son is set up at. Thanks!

Well done to both son and father. My dad taught me to fish and hunt and it is a heritage I will cherish to the end of my days. As mentioned, that smile is worth its weight in gold.

He draws 36#, but it's tough on him sometimes. He can shoot it fine about 5 times, but after that he really struggles to get the bow back. Make sure you have a really sharp fixed blade broadhead. Magnus stinger works really well with the light draw weight. I hope you and your daughter have a great time!!!
