With all our seasons finished for us and several archery kills (bears and deer) its time for us to fire up the grinders, stuffers, smoker, dehydrator. We started with 40 pounds of bear, Pepper jack, Jalapeno, smoked sticks and 15 pounds of sliced Ven. Jerky. Lots and lots more meat to process. Next weekend looks like breakfast sausage and summer sausage. We already canned 14 pints of deer meat. We bowhunt for meat. Antlers, spurs, claws, skulls, etc are ok but not as tasty as smoked bear and deer.

LOL. This bear ate Granola and candy and breads. He ate very well. No Maggots for him. He tastes very good. This however is the real world. Wild bear are large predators. They eat all manner of meats too. We have eaten lots of bear and never had a bad tasting one. Great meat that manly men kill and eat.
