Well Monday was the Orange Army time in Pa. My son and i were out. where we hunt is a strip of woods and a hugh field. We get into the woods and get about 40 / 50 yards from the neighbors property. Its Posted Property, we have access to it only if we shoot a deer and we track it on to the neighbors property. So My son has this legal buck come by on the other property, about 30 / 40 yards from the property line. My son tells me he not going to shoot because its on the other property. The property owners are no where near us and he still tells me he is NOT shooting. It would have been easy to shoot it and drop it in its tracks then go get it and yet he says no thanks, that he will wait for it to come across the property line. It never did come are way. He is 16 He made me PROUD!!!!! WHAT WOULD HAVE YOU DONE? just curious????????
You did a good job raising your son. He's following the rules set out for him to hunt. He has good morals, character and values. It's not always about what you do when someone is looking, but what you do when they aren't looking. Well done! More hunters need to be raised this way and I commend your son for his choice!

I would be very proud of the decision your son has made. He learned well from you so be proud of him. He has reached a level of maturity
Love stories like those. We don't see enough of them these days. There is a kid anyone would be loud of and to hunt with.
Good to see that a youngster is considerate of other peoples property when nobody is watching. You did a fine job and while you raised him to do the right thing you also instilled values in him that will give him a great advantage when he enters school or the job force.

I wouldn't shoot. It is important to do the right thing whether someone is watching or not. I applaud your son for doing the right thing even though he easily could have shot that deer. You two have made hunters everywhere proud; both with his actions and the way you raised him.
