Lol sorry about that. I thought I had posted when I first joined last year. Since then I've just been creeping around the site.

Congrats on your first, and he's a good one! You could easily double for Richie Cunningham on Happy Days. Uncanny resemblance.

He came busting through with 2 other bucks chasing a doe and was out of the area within seconds so I grabbed the grunt tube and threw out a few bleats. He came trotting back in but I didn't have a shot. Once I had a clear shot let an arrow fly and felt my bow about jump out of my hand. The bottom limb managed to smack a tree limb that was about waste high next to me. He dropped instantly and I knew I hit the spine because he was trying to escape using his front legs dragging his rear. I felt like pure crap at this point but knew there was still an opportunity to make a good shot. I drew another arrow and dumped it right behind the shoulder. He didn't react to the second shot right away. After a second he tried started crawling again so i dumped another about 2 inches lower. One shot nicked the heart and the other nearly sliced it in half. Buddy actually sent me a trail cam pic last season and didn't realize it was the same deer until I dropped him off to the taxidermist.
