I found three large scrapes today that are very fresh and very close together. Fresh rubs as well about 20 yards from the scrapes. But all the small sapling trees around the scrapes are snapped into. Is this something i should hunt over?

Ya big time.. put a stand up 20 yards away and hunt it. That's the dominant buck in the area advertising. I would even go as far as putting a tinks scrape dripper over one of them acting like another buck challenging his turf.

On a field edge or in the woods?

Scraps are often visited at night but a dripper with doe scent may cause him to come check in day time. But it is good to know there are horns in the area.

In the woods at the end of a draw. Its kinda like a funnel/pinch point.

Yes you should! Find a good tree and hang a stand.
