    Who else hates hunting early season pre rut?

    For me, to warm,to many guys in the woods, to much pressure, did I say to warm and they don't move as much in warm weather? I don't have the luxury of hunting private property (to lazy to ask land owners) all my hunting is rather county or state land here in NY.

    Something about post rut and cold weather I really enjoy. I also tend to see much more deer in December and January. Cold also keeps alot of guys out the woods, this time of year, hunting for me, is a bit more enjoyable.

    Man I wish I had a chance to hunt on long Island when I still lived there, if I ever go home for Christmas or thanksgiving would I be able to hunt it?
