Hey everybody, I am currently in a social media class and we are doing studies on how social media effects different aspects of our lives. Being the avid bow hunter that I am I decided to choose a topic on bow hunting and Twitter. If you have the time and would like to complete my survey then that would be greatly appreciated. My teacher didn't tell us how may responses we needed but I feel like the more I responses I receive the better of a paper I can write. If I'm posting this in the wrong forum then please let me know and I will put it into the correct one.

    Thanks again everyone!
    BHOD!

Some answers are not so cut and dry. Filled it out and left explanation in 10. Good luck.

You probably should have an ethics clearance from the institution you are attending.. certainly if you intend to use the results beyond that one class.
    Did it anyway

Social Media is bad for hunting. To many Anti's are now joining FB groups to spy on hunters, some are taking it a step further and booby trapping hunting and parking areas with nails and nails driven through a piece of wood. Placed on the ground for hunters to step on or to pop their tires. Anti's think deer are their pets, no way changing there mind, to them, you're killing fido.

Done. Good luck. Social media is neutral for hunting. By the time you are on social media you are either an anti, hunt, have an aversion to it, have a positive view of it, or don't give a s***. Not much changes that. Sure there are bad hunter stories out there. But there are over the top crazy anti stories out there too.

I am not on twitter or Facebook but I steadfastly refuse to allow another to infringe on my right to hunt, I do not entertain arguments against my activities either.

"social" media has turned us (or at least millennials) into the most anti-social generation in history. And yes, I appreciate the irony as I pontificate facelessly from across the digital plain...

Good luck with your project though. FWIW I did the survey. I shall jump off my anonymous soapbox now.

Kinda funny seeing this on here, just saw that taylor drury is getting slammed right now for a buck she harvested and in the post it made some kind of mention to God. So naturally the death threats and whatever else gets the antis off are piling up.

Sounds like kind of a interesting class, good luck.

Every year we get these surveys posted from people saying they are writing papers, working on school projects, etc., but we never hear from them again. Usually not even after their first post. So don't hold your breath to see the results or the paper :) .

Done. I prefer Snapchat for hunting. Throw some vids up for your friends and be done with it.

Yup... This is why I ignore these posts. If it's from one of the regulars then of course I'll do whatever I can to help.

I only answered/participated b/c he at least had a bowhunting signature line. Otherwise would have figured him for a troll/bot.
