The guys at my local pro shop prefer Nockturnals, they have served me well enough.

Nocturnals were the first & only ones I've used. I bought them first because they were cheaper & they've never let me down.

I have tried lumenock, nockturnals and the ones carbon express made. All have their quirks in my opinion. I think that nocturnals have the most fool proof design as far as the nock lighting then staying on but the drawback for me is that they are hard to turn off. The lumenocks are finicky at times to get to light when shot but to me appear to be the brightest light, I shoot carbon express maxima's and I have to remove the paint from the metal nock collars so they will make proper contact which make them light more reliably but I have had issues with the light going out if they hit something hard such as a shoulder bone in a big deer. I think that the nock gets bounced out slightly letting the nock lose contact causing the light to go out. The carbon express ones worked well and I liked them but they where difficult to install and if you had a problem with them it was almost impossible to remove as they where very tightly fitted and I actually have a few arrows where part of the nock is lodged in the shaft and I cannot remove rendering the arrow unusable. I guess I could remove the tip insert and shove a rod through the arrow to remove it but seems like a lot of trouble though.

Just my experiences with several of the lighted nocks that I have tried.

I have been using Nocturnals for several years and I like them. The only issue I think they have is sometimes they can be difficult to turn off. This seems to happen if the nock has been turned off several times. Here's another idea for you. I was reading a review on these the other day and they look interesting. Vertical nock Overview

I have tried Nocturnal, Lumenok, Carbon Express Launchpad, Easton Tracer, Clean shot Nock Out, and the Two Brothers/Nockturnal nock off nocks. I have not yet tried Firenocks. I like Nockturnals the best out of all of those. The CE are pretty good but they don't make them for my H size arrows.

Use a small wood screw and thread it into the back of the broken piece of the CX nock. Once you get it seated in there you can pull it out. It may take a couple tries as they tend to come out in pieces, but it can be done.

My experiences mirror most everyone else's. The Nockturnals seem to have the most fail-proof design however I hate turning them off and their nock design seems overly large to me.

Lumenok's work fine so long as you take the time to prep the back of your arrow properly and make sure the nock fits your arrow securely. They are, in my experience, the brightest one on the market. I'll be hunting with these this fall.

Firenock makes a great product, they're just way too expensive IMO.

I've been using nockturnals for the last couple years, they aren't that hard to turn off.
I've used an unfolded paperclip, my small pocket knife

Nockturnals all the way. Especially because they fit my 4mm shaft really well

Lots of opinions and rightfully so. They all have there plus and minus points. The nocturnal as everybody said seems to be the most reliable. The thing I like about the Lumenok is that you can put in new batteries. So over time they can be cheaper. Firenock is good too but little too expensive for me. Use to use Nockturnals but recently moved back to Lumenok beside I had a surplus of batteries for them.

I like the Lumenok. Have had some false lighting when I take the quill off when I set up in the stand.

They're just a little to tight then. Back them off a hair and you should be fine.

I like Nocturnals best. They are easy to use. They have worked really well for me. I prefer the old style better than the new style. Just a visual preference to me.

What color lighted nocks do you guys prefer? Does one color stand out better than the other?
