Well, Saturday at least. I had to take a pretty long hiatus due to some shoulder issues, but after months of therapy and thankfully no surgery, my old bow is sold and this Saturday I'm going to take the kids down to the shop and pick out a new one.

I really have no idea what I'm going to get. I know it will be at 60 pound bow, but other than that, I'm just going to shoot one of each and pick the one I like.

I'll get some pics posted up here next weekend, but it's going to be a busy one.

Really excited just to be able to get back out there.

    Glad your back at it.

I'm only shooting 65# now do to shoulder issues.

I sold my Hoyt spider and Mathews ChillR for G5's Prime Rival. Check them out. I was so impressed I bought a 2nd one for target.

They're on my list to shoot as I know he has a few prime at the shop.
I've always been weary of the quad cams, seems more to go wrong, but hey, if it's a good shooter, I'm all for it!

The quad cams are solid and were created to eliminate cam lean.
    Back wall is really solid.
G5 shoots each bow 100x so you get it with the strings broken in and they send you a free set of strings every two years for the life of the bow.
The camo is permeated into the alloy so it can't get worn off.
My pro shop only charges me $20 to set it up because they tunes so easily.

Good luck on the new bow shopping. I'm going to be in the market for a new bow for next year hopefully so I'll be curious to hear which bow you end up with.

Be sure and check out Elite if that's an option. When I test shot my Synergy, I thought I was shooting a 60# bow until the guy told me it was maxed out at about 72#

Glad to hear about no surgery!! Both my shoulders were surgically repaired, its aweful. Take your time coming back, be easy, no over doing it. Best of luck picking a bow, there are 100`s of them out there. Best of luck this season!

I only shoot around 62 lbs and i have no shoulder issues.. Its all about being able to stay at full draw comfortably if needed in a shot of a life time!

20160903_214211.jpg Well all, I drew, drew, drew, shot, shot, and shot.. and in the end... I chose the Hoyt Carbon Spyder.
I'm actually hugely surprised. I've never been a fay of Hoyt.
Every bow was great. There's not one I wouldn't have been happy with.
In the end, it came down to the carbon spyder and halon 6. The spyder was on sale so the price was basically the same on them.
I literally shot them back to back for 30 minutes before finally deciding on the Hoyt.
I really couldn't believe that was the one I liked. The draw was amazing and the release was really smooth.

Really pumped about deer season now. Hoping I have a good excuse to buy a bigger freezer!
