Looked out on my lawn just now and saw my target buck '16 for the first time. Three main beams on his left, two on his right. Heavy mass, especially the left base. I didn't even count points...There were a LOT! Horrible pic that does him no justice. Will be setting out trail cams tomorrow, if I get better pics I will follow up. PS, this ain't the midwest, for where I live this guy is a beast! deer2016-3.jpg

Southeastern NY, you know, the over hunted part! Lately, bucks over 100" have been almost non-existent in these parts, so seeing this guy is a pleasant surprise!

This is not the same deer from the first post, but he is clearly from the same gene pool! I wonder what the record is for most consecutive days sitting dark to dark on stand!

You could say the same thing if you were from the midwest...that deer is a dandy.

He's a beauty!! Good luck getting a crack at him. My record for dark to dark hunts is 6 days in a row, and it does burn you out! It's a good burn out though. haha

It kinds does but the first one had a palmated right side and a bunch of junk points, I watched him in binoculars so got a very good look. The second was a couple miles away and does not have the palmation. But they totally do look similar, definitely same genes.

I also think it's the same deer. Way too similar. They can change from year to year, especially on non typical stuff
