While shooting a few arrows yesterday afternoon I noticed a couple of pops coming from what sounded like my Limb pockets. Sometimes it would make one pop and others times it would make two or three pops but it did it every time that I drew the bow back. Anyone know what might be causing this and what I should do to fix it thanks.
Hoyt CRX 32 everything seemed to be tight. It is a 70 pound bow set on about 65 pounds and they Limb bolts are not bottomed out
Regardless of what it is, you will most likely need a press to fix. Unless it's a cable slide issue. If you don't have one I'd have a shop look at it. It's most likely a limb pocket issue of some sort.
Sounds silly but could be a dry rest felt, mine is that way, just noticed yesterday, could mean the difference when hunting.
hey man, for sure take it right in to the shop. I was hearing an extra slap as soon as I released the arrow. I couldn't figure it out. one I got home and stated looking at it I realize the cam was separating and hitting the limb when I release. I took it into the shop and he discovered that a bolt that held the wheels together backed out. better to be safe than sorry.
This issue sounds like what I had with my bowtech last year. I ended up having a crack in my limb. I was lucky that I took it into the shop when I did because it could have been a pretty dangerous situation if the limb decided to give out while drawing back my bow.
I had a crx32 do that as well. Quick fix at the shop. Can't remember exactly what they called it but basically all they put on was anti seize sort of stuff and it never did it again
