Since some of you will be hitting the killing fields early, Mr. Fraley asked me to post up the annual prayer, which I am honored to do. Our Heavenly Father, Yet another year has passed. As last year that was full of victories, defeats, death, life, sickness, health, sacrifices, and blessings, we head into another year that will be filled with all the aforementioned and more. First I want to pray for all those that have lost loved ones this past year. As the wounds are present still, never to be completely closed, we ask that you strengthen those that bear them and encourage the hearts that this separation is but for a short while. There are many that are facing sickness and death this year too, whether it has been revealed yet or not, we ask that you strengthen them as well and if it be according to your will, heal their loved ones. We pray for all those men and women that have served and continue to serve this great nation. We pray for safety and courage to fall from Heaven upon each and every one of them and all their loved ones that eagerly await their homecoming. Lord, we ask that you would get in this election and straighten this country out. We pray for wisdom for the leaders, both present and those to come and that your will would be done in the upcoming election. If the outcome is not what WE want, please remind us that YOU are ultimately in control and will rule the nations one day. Father, we pray for all of us that will walk and drive many miles throughout the season, that you would give us travelling mercies. We pray for protection while ascending and descending trees and walking in the dark. We ask that you would protect us from unethical "hunters" and poachers. Finally Lord, we ask that you would watch over our families that will not be with us, help us to be a great example to those that are with us, and help us to be a picture of ethics, character, and sportsmanship to all. We pray this all in the name above every name, The Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
